In the fitness center there are a large group of fitness equipments, which are so useful for workout and keep your body in shape. These equipments include simple items like track shoes, skipping ropes, dumbbells, and balls also more complex equipment like bicycles, treadmills, weights, and many more. In recent day so much fitness equipment available with new design available in the market from equipment for losing weight until complex equipment for building muscle. Fitness equipments can be group base on the type of exercise can be done.
Strength training equipment is the first equipment to be discussed, including machines for resistance training and free weight. Common resistance equipment is the type using gravity as resistance source. Equipment that mainly uses this design is a weight machine; the combination of simple design gravity like incline, wheels, and pulleys can be used to transfer weight of the user as a resistance. Beside equipment that using gravity to get resistance there is also equipment using other forces, including spring-loaded, fluid-loaded, friction and fan-loaded equipment.
Aerobic fitness equipment is the endless-path machine, including equipments like elliptical trainer, stationary bicycles, aerobic riders, treadmills, ski, rowing machines, and stair climbers. Elliptical trainers have a cross function between stair climbers and ski machine. Focus of the stationery bicycle exercise is on the legs with focus on pedaling. Aerobic riders focus on the exercise of arms and legs by pulling and pushing motion. Focus of treadmills exercise is to burn fat with walking or running in various speeds, some treadmills model also equip with incliner to simulate slopes. Rowing machine and ski focus on the arms and legs, rowing machine also exercise back muscles. Stair climber is replicating to climb a stairway, focus on pulling up hands for throughout workout.
The other fitness center equipment including exercise balls, heart rate monitors also many others. Exercise balls are very useful for balance and flexibility training, heart monitor can help to motivate the user also to monitor the heart rate and give feedback for the user. Before using fitness equipments it is will be better if you ask how to use the equipment in the proper way to avoid injury.
